Amy Alchin of Ewell 1779

In the name of God Amen I Amy Alchin of Ewell in the County of Surrey widow being of perfect mind and memory make this my last Will and Testament I give and bequeath whatever moneys goods and cloaths I am possessed of to my sons Henry and George Alchin and to my daughter Anna Fox to each an equal part provided first that the expenses of mu funeral and all other lawful debts owing by me be paid out of my possessions whatsoever property beside may belong to me I give to my said sons Henry and George Alchin and to my daughter Anna Fox to each an equal part in hope and expectation that my said son George Alchin will do whatever lies in his power to serve his said brother Henry Alchin and his sister Anna Fox and to whatever less fortunate relations he has and I constitute and appoint my said son George whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke disallow and disannul all former bequests wills and legacies by me heretofore in any wise left and made declaring ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my name and seal this eighth day of February in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine Amy Alchin’s mark X signed sealed and declared by the within named Testatrix Amy Alchinto be her last will and testament in the presence of us who subscribed our names in the presence of the said Testatrix and of each other William Nevers Peter Gaulier

This will was proved at London on the sixth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy nine before then Worshipful William Macham Doctor of laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Peter Calvert Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of George Alchin the son of the deceased and the sole executor named in the said will to whom administration was granted of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to adminster
