This is the last
Will and Testament of me Elizabeth Allchin of Number 7 Northampton Street The
Kent Road London make this fourteenth day of December one thousand eight
hundred and twenty seven I give and bequeath all my household furniture linen
and all my goods ready money money in the Bank of England securities for money
and all other personal effects and whatsoever and wheresoever and what nature
or kindsoever unto and to the use of my son William Williams Allchin his heirs
admons and assigns for ever I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said
son William Williams Allchin sole executor of this my last will and testament
hereby revoking all former wills by me at any time therefore made and I do
hereby publish and decree this to be my last will and testament in witness
Whereof I the said testatrix Elizabeth Allchin have hereunder set my hand and
seal the day and year above written E A

Testmanet in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and also in
the presence of each of us have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

Grove Street St Georges East in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury for the
goods of Elizabeth Allchin widow deceased

personally William Gribble of 29 Betts Street Ratcliffe Highway in the County
of Middlesex stone mason and made oath that he is one of the subscribed
witnesses to the execution of the paper writing accounts and will marked with
the letter A and purporting to be and contain the last ill and Testament
of Elizabeth Allchin formerly of Northampton Street Kent Road in the County of
Surrey but late of Providence Street in the Parish of St George in the County
of Middlesex widow deceased and that having now observed the letters “E A”
and also a mark or cross opposite the seal at the foot or near the bottom
thereof he says that the said letter the initials of the deceased name as also
the said cross were so set thereto on the day of the date of the said will by
the said Elizabeth Allchin the Testatrix herself and that she then intended the
same to operate and be taken as her due execution of her said will and that the
same was done in the Appearers presence as also in the presence of Joseph York
the other subscribed witness to the execution of the said deceased’s Will in
the said deceased’s presence as the same now appeared at the foot or bottom of
the said will William Gribble on Saturday the 17th day of November
in the year of our lord 1838 the said William Gribble was duly sworn to the
truth of the aforegoing affidavit before me Herbert Jenner
Proved at London
the 20th November 1838 before me the Worshipful Herbert Jenner
Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oath of William Allchin the will written
William Williams Allchin the son the sole Executor to whom admon was granted
having been first sworn to duly administer
